Account & Data Deletion
You can delete your MealRadar account and data at any time. You do not need to reinstall the app to request deletion.
Delete your account inside the app
- Open MealRadar and go to Home.
- Open the Account drawer (the account icon).
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the two-step confirmation prompt.
Delete Account is available when you are signed in to a real account. It is not shown for guest/anonymous use, because there is no account to delete.
What deletion does
- Permanently deletes your MealRadar account from our authentication provider (Supabase).
- Clears MealRadar app data stored on that device — including pantry, saved recipes, saved meal plans, shopping list, shopping habits, and preferences — after the account is removed.
- Returns the app to a guest state.
What may remain
Because most content is stored only on the device, deletion clears the data on the device you used. Data on a different device you separately signed in on would need to be cleared on that device too. We delete or de-identify personal data we control when it is no longer needed, when consent is withdrawn, or when deletion is requested, unless retention is needed for security, billing, legal compliance, dispute handling, fraud or abuse prevention, or another lawful reason; such records are not used to restore your deleted content.
To prevent abuse of our free AI credits, MealRadar may keep a minimal pseudonymous anti-abuse record after your account is deleted. This record contains only a server-side hashed (HMAC) form of your email address and a count of free AI generations used. It does not include your raw email address, pantry items, recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, prompts, or account profile data, and it is used only to enforce free-credit limits and prevent fraud — not to identify you or restore deleted content.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple
Deleting your MealRadar account does not automatically cancel an active Apple subscription. To cancel or change a subscription, use Apple / App Store settings. Apple and RevenueCat may retain transaction records needed for billing, tax, fraud prevention, refund handling, and legal compliance. We cannot delete those provider records.
Request deletion by email
If you are unable to open the app or complete in-app deletion — or you simply prefer to ask us — you can request account and data deletion or erasure by emailing support@mealradar.xyz from the email associated with your account. We will verify your request and process the deletion of data we control. Users in India may also use this address for data-rights and grievance requests; we aim to respond within 90 days unless a shorter period is required by applicable law.
